Privacy Policy for Check Make
Check Make is an open-source desktop application that analyses 3D models locally on your computer. It is developed by 18Juni.
Controller / publisher: Anders Pettersson, 18Juni, Gothenburg, Sweden Contact: kontakt@18juni.se Support: support@18juni.se
Summary
- Check Make does not send models, measurements or usage statistics to us.
- The application has no accounts, advertising or telemetry.
- Optional AI services are used only if you enable them yourself.
Local processing
Model files (STL, 3MF, OBJ), measurements, rules and exported projects are processed and saved locally on your computer, in the folders you choose.
Optional AI services
- Local interpreter: you can start a local llama.cpp server on your own computer. Then no information leaves the computer.
- OpenAI: if you enter your own OpenAI API key, measurement data and a rendered image montage of the model are sent to OpenAI for interpretation under OpenAI's terms. The key is held only in the application's memory for the session and is not saved by Check Make.
You decide whether, and when, an AI service is used. Without an enabled service the application makes no network requests.
Open source
The source code is available under the MIT licence on GitHub so you can review what the application does yourself. Dependencies and third-party data are documented in the project's notices.
